What Is Stretch Film?
Stretch film, also called stretch wrap or pallet wrap, is a highly elastic LLDPE plastic film wrapped around pallets and goods. As it stretches, it tightens and holds the load together. That protects products from dust, moisture and movement during storage and transport.
Types of Stretch Film We Supply
Machine grade stretch film is made for semi-automatic and automatic pallet wrapping machines, with 200 to 300% pre-stretch. Hand grade stretch film, also known as pallet wrap, is for manual wrapping with a hand dispenser. Colored stretch films in blue, green, red, white and black help identify and secure pallets. Stretch Film Specifications
Machine grade stretch film is available in 500 mm width, 17 to 35 micron thickness and roll weights from 15 kg upwards, on 76 mm (3 inch) cores. Hand grade film is available in 450 to 500 mm widths, 17 to 30 micron thickness and 2 to 5 kg rolls, on 50 mm cores. Cast and blown films, clear or colored, and custom sizes are available on request.
